We are in shock here at Truth in Accounting. While we hoped this day would come, we are surprised it came so quickly.
We are awarding the federal government an A+ for the improvements it has made in the 2019 fiscal year. The federal government released the Financial Report of the United States Government last month and they did better than we expected. They have made great strides in funding Social Security and Medicare and reducing the national debt. Because of these improvements, we will not be releasing our annual Financial State of the Union report. We commend Congress and the President on the work they have done to reduce the national debt.
Unfortunately, it’s April Fools' Day and this is the federal government we are talking about. We will be releasing our 2020 Financial State of the Union report soon and things did not go this well for them.
