Sorry about the late Morning Call this morning.
We had a Metra train ‘mechanical failure’ today in Chicago.
It gets cold in January. I spent 40 minutes on the platform (too crowded in the station) waiting for a train that never came. Wind was blowing about 20-25, and 12 degrees.
Sat down at my desk about 45 minutes ago, a great Uber ride in.
One of my fellow Uber passengers said “well, that’s what happens when 2/3 of your budget goes to pensions.”
A symbol of a larger set of problems, sadly.
