CHANGE Illinois joins ULCC

February 10, 2020

ULCC PAC State and Local Governments Subcommittee met on Monday, Feb. 10 for a discussion with Ryan Tolley from CHANGE Illinois.

Amid a year-long federal investigation, ethics reforms have been at the forefront of political discourse at every level of government in Illinois. Strengthening ethical behavior in government requires both a culture shift and changes to regulations. The FBI investigation, along with an upcoming Illinois Senate President election, have provided room for a new culture to take shape in Springfield, but what reforms should lawmakers be considering? CHANGE Illinois Policy Director Ryan Tolley will join us on February 10th to discuss ethics reforms that CHANGE Illinois is advocating for to restore trust in government. From how we draw legislative maps to how elected officials disclose their financial interests there are many areas where reform is needed. To learn more about the reforms that CHANGE Illinois is advocating for visit their website at www.changeil.org. CHANGE Illinois is a nonpartisan nonprofit leading the charge for more ethical, efficient governments and elections.
