There are 100 Senators in the United States Senate.
Nearly one-third of the Senators have last names starting with an A, B, or a C – in an alphabet with 26 letters.
States with Senators with last names starting with an A, B, or a C -- the “ABC states” -- tend to rank higher on our Gerrymandering Index, and have significantly higher Taxpayer Burdens to boot.
A little fun with State Data Lab, on my first day back from vacation.
But perhaps something meaningful in here, given alphabetical rules used in election ballots.
See this and this, for example.
