Falling short: The $2 trillion fiscal relief package leaves hole in New York’s budget

Editorial, includes “… With an agreement now in sight, it is clear that New York, harder hit by the pandemic than anywhere else, comes up unacceptably, indefensibly short. New York is not just hardest hit because it has registered nearly as many coronavirus cases as every other state in the union combined. It has been walloped because the city, the nation’s tourism and finance hub, is built on dense human interactions.”
