Editorial, includes “Scorpion, meet frog. The fable, believed to be an adaptation of a tale by Aesop, tells of a scorpion that asks a frog to help it cross a river. The frog doesn’t like the plan, because of the risk of being stung. The scorpion convinces the frog it’s OK, because if it the scorpion were to sting the frog, both would drown.
