Connecticut’s budget chief: the state is in a ‘permanent fiscal crisis’

That is where Connecticut finds itself at the beginning of this year’s legislative session, with a $2.7 billion deficit for its next two-year budget, and taxpayers who already face one of the highest tax burdens in the nation.

… Malloy will likely try to borrow more money to get his transportation agenda moving, but Connecticut is already ranked as the biggest sinkhole state in the nation by Truth in Accounting, with $48,100 in debt per taxpayer. …”
