our symbol is the lantern...

 Diogenes was an ancient Greek philosopher who was seen holding a lit lantern in broad daylight "searching for the truth and the truthful man".  The lantern represents our quest to find Truth in Accounting so that we can make educated choices about our financial  institutions.  We seek the truth in broad daylight.
